Paper Formats
Contributions are invited as papers that describe new scientific advancements, results from research or other technical developments. Papers on recent projects, applications of technology or that discuss topics of high interest to practicing engineers are also desired. For project-based submissions, authors are encouraged to include discussion on unique technical challenges of the project.
The maximum length of all papers is 8 pages including references to prior art and relevant codes and standards.
Call for Abstracts
Authors interested in presenting their work during the Symposium are invited to submit a short abstract written in English. The abstract should summarize the contents of the paper and clearly indicate the relevance to the theme of the Symposium.
Authors of accepted papers are expected to attend and be able to present their paper in English at the Symposium.
Abstract and Paper Submission
A web-based platform is provided to facilitate the submission and review of all abstracts and papers by the Scientific Committee. All abstracts must be submitted electronically through the paper website. Hard copy, email or fax submissions will not be accepted.

Acceptance of Papers
Information on the acceptance of an abstract and for the preparation of the full paper will be given according to the schedule below.
The acceptance of final contributions and the presentation type will be given by the Scientific Committee.
Presentation of Papers
Authors of accepted papers are expected to attend and be able to present their paper at the Symposium.
To achieve a wide representation of viewpoints and participation, the number of presentations made by each Symposium attendee will be restricted by the Scientific Committee to a maximum of two presentations. Participation on additional papers as a non-presenting co-author is permitted.

Speaker's Ready Room
A Speaker's Ready Room will be provided within the conference center for use by presenting authors and provides a central location for all authors to upload their final presentations from USB drives. Note that all presentations must uploaded no later than 4 hrs before the scheduled presentation time (night before for early morning sessions). Uploading of presentations within the session rooms is not permitted.
Symposium Report & Abstract Book
All accepted abstracts and papers will be published in the Symposium Report. The Report will be available in electronic format at the beginning of the Symposium.
A printed book containing 1-page Abstracts of each paper will also be available for purchase at a cost of $15+GST. Note that this printed book does not include short papers. Only a limited number of Abstract books will be available for purchase on-site. To guarantee your copy, pre-ordering with your registration is recommended.
Publication of each paper is conditional upon the presenting author registering to attend the Symposium according to the schedule below.
